Today we’d like to introduce you to Vienne Cheung.
Vienne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The story of VienneMilano began in 2011. Back then, I worked in the Products division in the high tech industry. At the time, I was unable to find thigh highs that stayed up on my leg. The thigh highs that I did manage to find in the United States were either meant to wear with a costume or they were poorly created. Instead, I found the perfect pair of hosiery in Italy.
While struggling to find high-quality thigh highs that stayed up, I realized this was a business opportunity where I would be able to fulfill my dream to start a fashion business. With months of hard work, and several trips back and forth between Boston and Milan, VienneMilano launched in November 2011.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a person who did not come from the fashion industry, I had to learn a lot. For an example, in launching our first collection, I was unaware of the manufacturing cycle for the hosiery industry in Italy. As a result, we had to change our launch plan a little bit.
Please tell us about VienneMilano.
VienneMilano is a luxury hosiery brand dedicated to thigh high stockings. All of our products are made in Italy for a woman to reveal her style and confidence by being elegant, playful and sexy in every occasion.
We are proud of the fact that we are the only luxury hosiery brand that focuses on thigh high stockings in New England. We offer a variety of material, denier and colors at an affordable price thus allowing every woman to look and feel fabulous.
