Meet Nicholas Prosser, D.C. of Proactive Chiropractic and Wellness in Canton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Prosser, D.C.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I earned my doctorate at New York Chiropractic College and decided to move to Boston upon graduating. While in Boston I worked at a successful practice in Beacon Hill for two years. Then in 2015 I took the leap to opening my own practice here in Canton. Since then I have grown and started a multi-disciplinary practice that provides chiropractic care, massage therapy, personal training, acupuncture and therapeutic breath work. Our goal here is to provide a central location for the community to achieve wellness, health goals and pain relief.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is never easy to start your own practice or business. I started with zero patients and zero connections in the area. It is important to know that no one is going to enter your business just because you put a sign on the door. Therefore, I was out marketing and networking every day at gyms, health centers, community centers and business groups. It takes time to build a network and presence in the community, that work is never done.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Proactive Chiropractic and Wellness story. Tell us more about the business.
Providing natural chiropractic care to achieve an active lifestyle toward better health.

A few key points:

1. Address your specific health concerns or aches and pains to remain active and healthy.

2. Reach the next level of your training or athletic performance with bio-mechanical tests and correcting exercises.

3. Decrease the chance of future injuries by exposing flaws that create stress on the body.

I am proud to help patients out of their pain or symptoms but more importantly give them the tools and tips to help avoid future flare ups. My goal is to get them pain free and moving again so they can enjoy life!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Success is when opportunity meets preparation. Therefore, luck often doesn’t play a role.

Great information. I see a chiropractor and he has helped with reducing or eliminating my back pain. I prefer that type of treatment over taking medication. It has truly made a difference in my mobility and reducing my pain.
I enjoyed reading about your practice.
