Meet Natalie Nathanson of Magnetude Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Nathanson.

Natalie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The business landscape has changed dramatically over the past decade, and never more than over the past five years. With the proliferation of social media, the explosion of available marketing and sales technologies, and the evolution of how individuals and businesses research and purchase products and services, the need for coordinated, integrated marketing has never been greater. Yet the resource constraints smaller firms face often make it hard for them to get their products and services in front of the right target audiences in an efficient and scalable manner.

Magnetude Consulting was founded in 2012 on the premise that done correctly, marketing can be a great equalizer to help smaller, entrepreneurial and innovative companies get the visibility and growth they need to succeed. After working in smaller and larger company marketing environments, I saw the opportunity to better serve B2B firms who have limited in-house marketing capacity with a unique engagement model. By working collaboratively across the team, investing in trainings and professional development to stay on top of cutting-edge marketing technologies and best practices, and employing a lean and agile marketing approach, Magnetude brings unique value to each of its clients.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with any young, small business, there have been a range of challenges and opportunities over the company’s 5+ year trajectory. Relying solely on customer revenue to drive business investments, I’ve had to be selective in where to make investments—how to hire to best support client and organizational needs, where to expand our service offering, and how to prioritize the market sectors we serve.

Please tell us about Magnetude Consulting.
Magnetude Consulting is a B2B marketing agency that works with entrepreneurial firms who want to grow more rapidly and compete more effectively. We help clients market the right way in today’s increasingly complex environment by providing fractional marketing department services with full-service capabilities spanning marketing strategy, digital marketing, demand generation, channel and sales enablement, content development and brand visibility. With both full-time marketing generalists and a freelance team of advanced marketing domain experts. Magnetude boasts a highly expert team that is able to bring clients best-in-class marketing talent otherwise inaccessible to smaller firms.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I honestly wouldn’t change anything, as I believe all of the lessons learned along the way from successes and failures have been a necessary part of our growth. With that said, we’ve learned a lot about our market and refined our approach accordingly. Though we are still focused on the B2B sector as a whole, we’ve started working heavily in tech services, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. Over the years, we have also learned the value of building expertise in specific marketing domains as well as technology domains to better serve our clients.
