Meet Lisa Graham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Graham.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My love of photography began when I started developing my own photos in high school after my Dad gave me my first manual camera. It wasn’t until 15 years later that I had the chance to pursue my passion professionally, though. Through college and well into my career, I kept my hobby going by taking portraits for family and anything else I had time to photograph. Years later when my children went to school I realized my opportunity to do what more of what I love. I believe photographic images are a true expression of the way one sees the world around them, and I crave this ability to express myself artistically.

Ever the optimist, the need to find the beauty in life and capturing that beauty in an image has always been very fulfilling to me. While I cherish the chance to create a beautiful portrait (my kids can attest to this!) I have tons of fun with landscapes and photographing water sports (we live on a lake and love to wake surf…) as well. I’m inspired by creating images with that “wow” factor often of the beautiful landscapes found nearby our home in southern NH. I love using photography as my medium to showcase the beauty in all people, places, & things as I see it.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a photographer and love to create images showing the beauty that exists in all people, places and things. I take portraits, landscapes, and real estate photographs. My family enjoys boating and wake surfing and I have been having fun acting shots out on the water this summer!

Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
For some people it takes years to be able to give your artwork the attention you desire (like me!), but don’t lose sight of your passion. Set your goals to pursue your art, and work slowly toward them over time.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
