Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Pereira.
Josh, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started cutting the hair of friends at 17 years old. Took it seriously in my early 20’s. Then I started cutting Boston Celtics Players and also Patriots players. Worked about 70hrs a week saved my money to open my first barbershop in Natick. Now opening my second in the Natick Mall.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I went through a tough time with depression and substance abuse. Didn’t see my kids for a couple years. With the help of God and my family, I got help. Started going back to church and seeking spiritual help and also spoke to a therapist couple times.
Titletown Barbershop – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company name is Titletown Barbershop. We are hair groomers. We make people feel good. We are diverse barbers. We can cut all types of hair and do any hairstyles. We Titletown barbers treat each other like best friends and family, not just co-workers. We teach each other better ways to serve our community.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is to me when you’re able to help others. I want to create the best Barbershops in the world. It will be a professional atmosphere for barbers.
