“We have worked together since 1986 when we started as partners as young police officers. We continued to work closely as we moved up the ranks in the police department ultimately becoming the deputy chief of police and the chief of police serving together for many years. We have found the combination of our skills, abilities and personalities have led to us being a highly successful and winning team.”

Joe Alaimo’s father Mike started the business after his retirement from the Police Department in 1997. After Joe retired from the PD in 2008 he went to work for BI Inc. which was contracted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He worked for them for two years and decided to come run the business for his father in 2011.

“The business was in decline and we teamed up to help resurrect the business. Utilizing our team dynamics we began to revamp all operations from the ground up. After redesigning the organizations work flow processes, customer service outreach and public image we landed several new contracts and we were off and running.”

“In 2014 we took over ownership of the business and added our training and consulting bureaus which has become a major part of our business. Over the past few years we have traveled extensively around the country training, lecturing and consulting on crisis interventions, risk management and personal, government and corporate safety and security measures. Two of our most requested training’s and consulting requests are on technology innovation in safety and security and surviving the active killer crisis responses.”

“Our business is growing and changing as the country is confronted with the international and domestic terrorist threats and school and public active killer and shooter events.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
