Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Healy.
Christine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m the Founder and CEO of Craft’d Company, an events and marketing firm that specializes in working with craft breweries.
Planning events has always been my passion, whether that’s bringing a few friends together for a dinner party or orchestrating a festival for over 2,500 people. I launched Craft’d Company in June of 2017 when I saw a need for more events and marketing support for local breweries. Breweries are the absolute coolest event venues and I want to bring more unique experiences to these spaces.
Before launching Craft’d Company, I was the National Events Director at American Inno. Here in Boston, you know it as BostInno. There, I managed an amazing team that brought hundreds of startups together for a variety of events in Boston, DC, Chicago and Austin. All the work I was doing with startups translated really well over to the craft brewery world.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I am beyond fortunate to have supportive family and friends who are always helping with different projects, answering business questions, and attending events. There is no way that I would or could have started Craft’d Company without this support system. And on top of that, the craft beer community has been unbelievably welcoming.
Even still, starting this business has been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. There are so many things to figure out when diving into a new industry and building a business from the ground up. It’s a LOT of hustling and problem-solving.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Craft’d Company centers around craft beer events and marketing. We produce our own signature event series, Beers with the Brewers, that gives attendees a behind-the-scenes look at local breweries with the brewers themselves.
We consult with a number of brewery clients on their events and marketing projects. Our client work includes bringing new events to brewery taprooms, providing event staff, planning beer festivals… and we even made a Pride Parade float for one of our breweries.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
It’s been just over a year since I launched Craft’d Company and we have so many exciting projects in the works. Up next, we’ll be expanding our Beers with the Brewers series, launching new Craft’d event concepts and collaborating with more brewery partners. You can always find our upcoming events on www.CraftdCompany.com and on our social media pages.
