Meet Amanda Healy in West Roxbury

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Healy.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amanda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hi, hi! I’m Amanda Healy and I’m a double agent:

By “day” I run global marketing campaigns for a tech company based in Silicon Valley; by “night” I’m a national public speaker on the topic of personal branding + social media.

From a young age I was enamored by the notion of storytelling. From cave drawings, to ancient orators, to social media, the power of story is both ethereal and eternal. Whether I’m telling my own story, telling the story of the company that I work for, or helping others tell their stories through the engagements I speak at, I am fascinated by the evolution of storytelling and its ability to inspire the hearts, minds, and actions of its audience.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Are any roads truly smooth? I’d hazard that even the smooth ones have been paved over, the bumps and cracks along the way leveled and mended.

Like most, I’ve had my share of challenges. From overcoming being a natural introvert to balancing a full-time job with a full-time side hustle, to battling the naysayers and doubters along the way – anything work striving for is worth struggling for.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Amanda Healy – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a national keynote and speaker on social media and personal branding. I’m most known for my expertise in LinkedIn, particularly on how to build a brand and generate demand, thought leadership, and sales using the platform.

I speak at major conferences across the country including the Massachusetts Conference for Women, Texas Conference for Women, Watermark Conference, Women in Technology International Summit, and more. I also help corporations and organizations such as Walgreens, PerkinElmer, American Student Assistance, and others teach their employees and members how to use social media for personal branding/becoming a brand ambassador or thought leader.

I’m most proud of building my speaking career from the ground up, overcoming my innate shyness and developing the confidence to first speak to 10s, then eventually 100s, and currently close to 1000s across the nation. I take pride in each and every person I’ve helped along the way, whether they’ve received a big job opportunity, inked their first partnership, or simply found a new faith in themselves and the unique value they bring to the marketplace.

What sets me apart is my energy, authenticity, and the blend of inspiration and action I ignite in my audiences. People value my content because it’s both engaging and executable — I’m able to break down a complex and overwhelming undertaking into bite-size, manageable pieces so attendees walk away knowing exactly what they’ll do that evening, in the following days, and over the course of a few months.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I’m looking forward to continuing to build my corporate clientele, and starting to develop coursework and boot camps based on personal branding and social media. This topic will be essential in 2018 and beyond, as the majority of first impressions are going to be digital ones. I’m excited to continue to evolve my talk track and ninja tricks – the best part about social media is that it’s constantly changing!
