Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianluca and Ana Queiroli.
Gianluca and Ana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
One cold night of January, I asked my wife, who had an accident and could not physically perform her therapist job, what she really wanted do. Her answer was very straightforward: I want to open a wine shop! How cool would be to have wines & beers from all around the world! Then we started thinking what else was really missing near where we live and we thought that an espresso bar with some imported gourmet food would fit the profile very well. Five months after Wine Empire was built and commence its journey!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lots of competition in this industry but with the right products, prices and customer service we always thought we could excel.
Wine Empire – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We have over 1,000 wines from all over the world touching each winemaking region around the globe in all different price ranges. We strive to bring in the best quality and value wines, that most of us would overlook. We teach people how to taste and how to buy. We also have over 1,200 different types of beers, from the US, Europe, Local Craft Brewing in all flavors and format. We are very proud of our coffee and introduce a few coffee based drinks that we have not ever seen before in the North American market. We hold tasting events, both open and private, and we specialize in wine and beer pairing with food for the ultimate experience.
We are proud to have done all this solely on our own and to share our passion for wine, beer coffee and foods in an educational, fun way.
