Meet Wendy Rocca of The Power of 2 & Company in Newton, Boston Suburbs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Rocca.

Wendy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When our children were in elementary school, I decided I needed a more flexible schedule to fit their schedules. Real estate seemed like a good fit for me. Having moved around the country a bit, I felt ready to understand what it felt like for buyer/sellers to uproot and move. Now more than 20 years later, I still love what I do! 2003 We started Operation American Soldier, a charity that serves our deployed troops. The support from our real estate community has been outstanding! 2009 we won the Greater Boston Realtor Board & the Mass Association of Realtors Good neighbor Award. 2010 was the big surprise of winning the National Award! This has helped our charity continue to serve our troops.

Has it been a smooth road?
Real Estate has been a natural fit for me. I love to work, and know how to schedule my time to make sure God & my family always come first. This career path has been a blessing to us. I’ve had the good fortune of working for forward thinking companies that value community service and family values. These are most important to me.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Coming from a family of 13 children, we learned the value of hard work, cooperation and negotiations!
