Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Evbu Abel.
Linda, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
High school drop out far removed from wellness until sustaining a severe leg injury and was immobile for one year. Wanting to participate in my recovery, ignited my desire to learn all that I could about healing my body through exercise and food.
Secured a GED and took my first college class at Curry College. Subsequently, graduating with a bachelors’ of business management and communication degree (with honors). At that time, I believed that having a corporate job deemed success. Couldn’t see myself being respected wearing workout clothes to work. Thus, I forged down the wrong path which only delayed my destiny – no regrets. All the vast and varied work experience I obtained is serving me well as a business owner.
Had various jobs ranging from telemarketing, customer service to a recruiter. Laid off from MIT and decided to finally put my personal training certification I obtained after my leg injury to use. Secured employment as a personal trainer at Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs in 2014 and formed my company in 2016!
Has it been a smooth road?
Been relatively smooth. Since 2014 I had the opportunity to hone my skills. Obtained additional training in Holistic Nutrition & Health and Wellness Coaching. At Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs, I have access to a membership base I can mine from. I have a great partnership with Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs.
Challenges in the past pertained to uncertainty about my path and discovering my passion; I am finally doing what I am meant to do. I see 11:11 all the time!

Love the energy! Love the fact that Boston is filled with transplants. I was born and bred in Boston which is rare. Born at Boston City now Boston Medical Center. Don’t have the dreaded Boston accent though!
Boston is an awesome walking city! Parking is a b####. Takes away from the experience.
