Meet Trailblazer Bianca Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Rose.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Bianca. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The concept for The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle (BBWC) was founded in 2014 while studying abroad in Seville, Spain. A then twenty-one-year-old woman looking to experience the world around me, time spent away from my home environment in Boston allowed me to personally reflect upon a few broken personal relationships and what was lacking in the environments I found myself in, so I decided to create another environment for women who are committed to serving the world, since reality seemed so far from what I feel like it was supposed to be. I later created The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle shortly after returning home. I connected with other women in my hometown to propose the idea and together we begun to slowly build what we are today.

Has it been a smooth road?
The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle is strictly volunteer-operated and purposefully so. As a result, we rely on very dedicated women in our community to help us operate consistently. We do it this way to organically prove we have the ability to take control over our own community. When we do not have these individuals, it’s tougher to run.

It has not been a smooth road. I didn’t realize what it would take to be the leader in the community that I wanted to be, and I am still evolving, and I can never predict what’s going to come next in my journey. What has been getting me through obstacles is my will to stick with the Force in the toughest of times and in the best of times. Stick with the positive forces. If you believe in something, fight hard for it and align yourself with those that believe in it too, or those that are willing to support you. Passion will take you far and no one can stop you if you are serious. Life will always have challenges, your attitude towards that fact is what will change your life little by little.

We’d love to hear more about The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle.
My personal life is filled with a lot of positive vibrations, so for my professional route, I enjoy spreading the awareness of positive vibrations and its contribution to our evolution. I’ve experienced the benefits of that way of living and I think about ways I could contribute to our evolution outside of my own. As a result, I enjoy spreading the awareness through:

Sound:
I DJ for an all-female sound called Femme Fatale Sound. My focus is on Roots, Lovers Rock, and other types of Reggae music. Because my general focus is on a conscious and uplifting vibe, with a ”turning up” flavor, we play a mixture of different genres that elicit those vibes.

Literature:
I enjoy writing in ways I see us evolving through my lens. “The 24-Day Conversation With The Universe” was my first published work where I share my personal journey of evolving up until age 25; one half of the book is dedicated to daily diary entries of evaluating my level of awareness every day for 24-days, and the second half explains key ways of living I believe are essential for humankind to evolve.

I am currently working on my 2nd book “Fearlessness: The Dissection of Jamaican Spirituality.” Here I share my perspective on ways the African diaspora can unite. I take you on a journey through various educational resources across the USA (museums, significant figures, historic establishments), ending off in Jamaica while challenging readers to share their nation’s (or parents’) contribution to world peace, hopefully igniting more awareness amongst my generation.

Service:
I decided to commit my life to service and wanted to do it in a way where it could be most fruitful to my environment, within my abilities. In 2014, I took some money I saved up from working during summers back home from college to create The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are a network of women from different ethnic and social backgrounds, but primarily commit ourselves to community service at The Women’s Lunch Place and “girl talks” at the Dorchester YMCA at least once every month, among other activities we do in and outside of our ‘hoods’. It is an environment for all women, accurately being reflected in our membership body, but women that are committed to service above all. I wanted to find a way I could move on my own accord, but move with others that also move on their own accord, to create a more magnetic force for our community.

My passion runs deep for music, I can’t survive without it. And boy, can I write when I have something to say. I am sure my love for selecting music and writing has its way of manifesting positive vibrations in others, but I am most proud of The Bold & Beautiful Women Circle and the women that believe in the movement. We are a network of women whose interest in service, other than the normal day-to-day interest women typically have, sets us apart from others. Creating this environment and continuing to expand it is an important life commitment for me as I feel it is necessary, and the first thing I would want a woman to know when mentioning my name.

Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
My father raising us while in the Reggae industry taught us the importance of positive vibrations. He managed and organized shows for numerous notable Reggae artists. This is where my love for sound and vibrations started.

Our mother was always a warrior, one of the silent ones that you don’t hear about in public, but you know if you know. She has power in every environment she has ever been in or situation she is put in, and this is where I get my courage and resilience from.

Both of my parents taught me to be fearless, but kind. They both have helped many people in all types of ways. It is very organic so it’s hard to summarize. It’s more on a present-basis. They are both from Jamaica, and it is an essential part of the Jamaican culture.

My father passed away from brain cancer in 2011, but the love I received from both my parents as a child is already embedded in my DNA and can’t be taken away from me by anybody. Now, the only thing left to do is to share the vibrations with the rest of the world and do my part to bring balance to the Universe.
