Meet Taylor Robinson of Namaste Photography in Fenway

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Robinson.

Taylor, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all began in 2010 when I got my first camera; it was a lime green Coolpix camera that I never put down. Throughout the years I came to realize photography was going to be my path in life. This is what I am going to do for the rest of my life. In Middle School, my parents got divorced and I found myself looking at all of our family photos with so much more meaning. One image held memories and moments that had now past.

Photography then took on a whole new personal meaning for me. As I entered High School, it became a matter of how I was going to achieve my dream. Freshman year, I started a very tentative layout of a website and came up with the idea of “Namaste Photography” for my business title. Namaste is the belief that my soul honors the entirety of your soul, in which I honor the beauty, light, and love that is within you. I believe that we all have a beauty and light in our individuality. This love is what I want to capture. After going through college and moving to Boston I have had the opportunity to assist and second shoot for numerous talented photographers. I am currently still second shooting for two other photographers as well as maintaining my own business specializing in wedding and portrait photography.

Has it been a smooth road?
It honestly, thank goodness, has been a generally smooth road. There have been learning curves, of course, when it comes to my shooting style, networking, and keeping up to date with the ever changing styles in the world of photography. I feel like I have been very blessed when it comes to the road that I have led to get to where I am today.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Namaste Photography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Namaste Photography specializes in wedding and portrait photography. It is run and owned by myself, and I am known for really capturing the individual’s true essence. I love the quiet moments. I love the moments in between the smiles where you see the genuine laughs and kisses between loved ones. Those are the moments that I want to capture because those are the ones that pass us by all too quickly. I think this is what sets us aside from others. I value being a part of someone’s special day, and I always promise to capture the moment the way it organically formed. I am proud to be the owner of a business that can provide a service of turning moments into memories.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Boston is absolutely incredible. The neighborhoods in this city are what make it what it is. There are so many different people that make up the heart of Boston, yet I find it is still such a small world. Other than the classic Boston traffic, I can’t list a dislike about our city because it’s home.
