Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatyana Adams.
Tatyana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I wasn’t sure what I really wanted in life until I was able to feel real happiness and what made me happy. Making myself feel happiness is what life is all about. My happiness has always come first but making others happy is also something great. Doing lashes and helping others embrace their natural beauty is just great. This is something that will never just go away, this is something that I love doing and will always love.
I started doing lashes at home and practicing. This then led to me going into the lash field very open minded and excited. My first lash place didn’t work out. But I have found a place that makes me feel so comfortable and important and you have to know that feeling that way about a business you are working for- is important. Boston Lash is a new lash bar in the south end. It is so cute and the absolute perfect spot to stop in for a lash appointment. I went from little to no encouragement and feeling like giving up, to feeling great and acknowledged within months of lashing and getting into the field.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all. The beauty industry isn’t easy what so ever. Nothing’s perfect, and I didn’t give up. I was attending beauty school along with taking my classes online to obtain y bachelor’s degree in business management which I should be gracefully graduating in February with all of my hard work. Just being constantly doubted and looked down on because I am so young and because I am so ambitious, it has really been a struggle. That’s life though, and I have gone through this so much in life that I just stopped letting it get to me. As I even at one point left the lash field and was going to settle for a regular job. I snapped myself out of it and got right back into lashing because I didn’t come all of this way, with the constant studying and practicing, I just didn’t come all over this way for nothing. Time is precious, everything takes time and this has been a tough time well spent.

I currently work at Boston Lash as one of their lash technicians. I am known for my classic lash extensions where I lash ladies and allow the lashes to look as natural as possible while giving out my best work on every client. I fall in love with every clients lashes and I take in all questions and suggestions as they only help me grow as a lash technician. Boston Lash allows clients to have privacy in a compact great location. Boston Lash has given me so much hope and confidence all together.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Boston is a great place for lashing. People come to Boston just to tour the city. Growing up in a city like Boston, I never even thought of tourist coming into a town that I have grown up in. As I myself, take the time to explore Boston, being so older, I can truly see why people have Boston on their lists to visit. I found something new almost every time that I walk out of the door.
