Meet Stephen Tabaldi of Tabaldi Masonry in Burlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Tabaldi.

Stephen, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started this company in 2014. I had been doing masonry ever since I graduated high school at Shawsheen Tech. in Billerica, MA. I graduated with a degree in Masonry Construction.

After I graduated I had many different jobs including real estate sales and investing that I’ve worked with my family.

I hooked up with my long-time friend Johnny Oliviera and he was a veteran concrete finisher. He showed me the art of stamped concrete and it’s been history ever since.

Now I have a full crew and install stamp concrete patios and walkways all over eastern Massachusetts. To me it’s very artistic to be able to make such beautiful art out of concrete. We pour over 80 patios and walkways every year and currently expanding and hiring more people.

Has it been a smooth road?
I started the company with virtually no capital and actually in debt. I built my company by doing one job after another and eventually bought a dump truck, tools and a big trailer.

I’ve had a lot of struggles with my personal life but recently got married in October of 2016 and have a 2 year old daughter Zoey and wife and her mom Sarah. They are my whole and the reason why I go to work each and every day.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Tabaldi Masonry – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We do all type of masonry such as brick, stone, chimneys, stairs, waterproofing but mainly specialize in deceptive stamped concrete.

Pavers are eventually going to be obsolete due to the harsh Boston winters and hot humid summers it causes the pavers to become in level and weeds go through them. Not stamped concrete it will remain solid for years to come with very little maintenance.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I grew up in Burlington and have a lot of family and friends here. It’s a quiet town that is rapidly growing with many new company’s coming to town.

I don’t like the traffic on 95 too much but all and all it’s a great place to live.
