Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie and David Deming.
David’s first job was window tinting at Tidy Car when he was 16. He eventually started his own window tint business at the Lee traffic circle in 1987. He continued to do his window tint business throughout the years in a couple different locations and then in 2000, he returned to Lee with a zebra car as a landmark to locate Motoring Images.
They have expanded the services offered at Motoring Images from window tinting to vehicle wraps and graphics.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The business quickly took off when we started doing vehicle wraps and graphics. We needed to allow time for all aspects of the business and still, provide the level of service to the new customers (vehicle wraps)as well as the existing customers (window tint). We work 7 days a week when needed.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Motoring Images – what should we know?
We absolutely enjoy vehicle wraps and graphics from the color change of a grey car to a raspberry blue vinyl wrap. Making the customer’s vision come to life is our specialty.
We have printed custom graphic wraps for beer trucks, landscaping fleet trucks, an NHRA Top Fuel racer, Seascape racing sailboats, buildings, vehicles and much more.
David and Stephanie definitely have Vinyl Fever they recently custom wrapped a dealership’s entrance in Pink vinyl for breast cancer awareness.
Window tinting is the craft of the business, David has hand cut his tint since he was 16 and is a true professional, He tints all vehicles- antiques, law enforcement, company fleet vehicles and building windows.
We moved to Lee in 2000 and decided we would have a home-based business with a shop to operate Motoring Images. We have the opportunity to offer competitive pricing because of our low overhead,
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We love what we do, we can’t wait to see the excitement in the customer when our work either vinyl or window tint transforms the customer’s vehicle, boat, racer, building into what they actually imagined or better.
