Meet Amanda Considine of Shoreshotz Weddings

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Considine Robitaille.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amanda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my company around 2006, photographing families and children. When I photographed my 1st wedding for a friend I fell in love with thrill of capturing such a momentous occasion. Over the past 11 years I photographed many beautiful weddings, from ballrooms, DIY backyard weddings, beach weddings, city weddings and even destination weddings in Philadelphia, Mexico, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas. Every wedding is still a thrill to me. I truly treasure the relationships and friendships I have made with my couples, and other wedding professionals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I was not able to be a full time wedding photographer for the first few years of business. There was a lot of research and learning involved as well as gaining experience, learning my craft, building skills and working hard to purchase professional equipment. I rented some lenses and other equipment until I saved enough to purchase what I wanted to work with. I went full time in 2009, photographing an average of 35 weddings each season as well as families and engagements.

Please tell us about Shoreshotz Weddings.
I am the owner of Shoreshotz and always the primary photographer for all weddings. I have very talented associate photographers that work with me as second shooters on the wedding day, but I do not book weddings for others to shoot. I love to help with planning and make it a really fun experience throughout the planning, engagement and wedding day. I think that the full experience is what sets Shoreshotz apart and results in the most rewarding part of my job, personal referrals from past clients and industry professionals.

Shoreshotz specializes in weddings that somehow involve the ocean as a backdrop. It may be an engagement session on a beach at the Cape followed by a wedding at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. It may be a wedding at a beautiful country club like New Seabury or Willowbend on Cape Cod, with wedding party photos taken on the beach. Beach and sunset photos are always my favorite to capture.
