Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Williams.
Ryan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As the son a master plumber and growing up in the trade many thought I would pick up the tools when Dad was ready to put them down. But, my dad had a different plan for me. He wanted me to think bigger and pursue my education. Well, I did just that and after graduating college and pursuing a few entrepreneurial ventures I came back to the industry that gave my family everything and it was time to give back. In 2014, I got serious about the plumbing, heating and air conditioning industry. I was lucky though, my father has always thought big, always been a visionary. He gave me incredible insight, education, and the opportunity to master my craft in business. Today we are proud to be making waves in our niche of the industry and really blessed with an incredible team of 45 employees and growing that genuinely work hard for our customers every day.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When I first entered the business I wore every hat. I was the bookkeeper, the customer service rep, the dispatcher, the marketer, the human resource department, the collections department, and the cleaning crew. Business was tough. At that time, we had 3 employees. I was using a pencil and eraser to manage our schedule on a table calendar. We were working day to day and piecing it together. The best and worst part of the day was 2:00PM because I would sift the mail to see how many checks came in and hopefully not many bills. Hiring was a hurdle for us, we couldn’t seem to find good people. I then learned how to do that…
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric story. Tell us more about the business.
We have an amazing company. We are a true full service company as we provide plumbing, heating, air conditioning, drain cleaning and electrical service. Most of our customers would say that they enjoyed us in their home adding a new heating or air conditioning system or maybe helping them get hot water back in their home when they needed it most. We are most known for our oil to gas conversions, adding a new high efficiency heating system and saving customers thousands on fuel costs or our ductless mini split installations.
I am most proud of our team. We have the best team in the industry, hands down. From our office team to our techs in the field we are truly and genuinely work selflessly for our customers. It’s our company’s best asset.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Well, I guess you can call it luck. But luck doesn’t happen by sitting on the couch. Luck happens by doing the right things, following your values, helping others, seeing opportunity, working hard, and not being afraid to fail. Luck will find you when you’re willing and able.
Me personally, I’m very lucky to have an incredible wife who supports me and my career, a mom and dad who raised me the right way and three siblings who inspire me every day.
