Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnie Lackey.
Ronnie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As the owner and founder of South Shore Roofing, I’ve had the roofing business in my blood. My career started working for my father’s roofing company during my high school year. Each summer, I spent days on rooftops with my dad, learning every aspect there was about the roofing business. I took in everything I took it very seriously and developed a love for this industry. As a locally owned company, my father’s business relied on a word of mouth market. This taught me to ensure the customer/homeowner was satisfied with the work. My father taught me there’s one way to do a job and that’s the right way the first time period. I’m constantly striving to be better, staying up to date with the latest innovations in roofing technology and designs.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To give an honest answer, it was easy for me because I felt like it was my time to build my company, with determination, strong work ethic, and drive, I didn’t mind working long hours and I enjoyed meeting different people, then yeah, it was easy because this is what I love to do. Anyone can accomplish anything they want too, just don’t give up! I’m a very firm believer that you can make your dream come true, anyone can you have got to believe in yourself, my family, my girlfriend, my sons, friends, they believed in me and that helped.

South Shore Roofing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I own a local residential and commercial roofing company. I am an overachiever and always want to be the best. I am a meticulous person, positive attitude, communication skills, self-confidence and time management.
My company’s mission is to go the extra mile to succeed and make my customers satisfied.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I’m proud of how much I’ve accomplished in so little time and such a young age!
