We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting the business took time. Had a custom boat built in Nova Scotia after completion and running it for 5 years I decided to build a new bigger boat this time in Kennebunkport ME. The challenges of getting the boat running and a business running.

Establishing a presence in the Boston area took time. Having consistent customers was key to a successful business.

The biggest challenge are ongoing are fishing regulations. The fishing regulations get to be so complex and difficult to anticipate and plan for the future. This is a complicated issue that is too difficult to write down. Some examples are changes in Striped Bass fishing. The closure of Cod fishing in the past years. Commercial over fishing effecting our business. Federal and state regulations are constantly changing.
