Meet Rachel Ferrante-Raffaele of Rachel Ferrante’s Academy of Performing Arts in Revere

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Ferrante-Raffaele.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rachel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all began with a dream. I had the belief in myself that all things could be brought to fruition with hard work and dedication. I started my business in East Boston in 2010 and received great feedback from the community, teaching dance to the local kids with an abundance of students performing in that year’s recital at East Boston High School!! My staff and I are trained and licensed dance instructors and have prior experience working together for over 15 years! Inspired by my love for teaching dance, I ended up expanding my studio and buying an old union hall in Revere, a city just north of Boston. With the help of my family, we completely transformed a run-down building into a gorgeous dance facility with crystal chandeliers and gleaming hardwood floors! A lot of work went into making RFAPA a household name where parents are excited to send their child to receive a thorough dance education and I am very Proud to call it my own!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been struggles along the way, but like all businesses driven by passion, you find a way to make it all work out in the end. With the help of my extremely supportive family, I reached my goal and I’m thankful to have them by my side.

Rachel Ferrante’s Academy of Performing Arts – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Rachel Ferrante’s Academy of Performing Arts is as mecca for all things dance!! Housed in a beautiful facility unlike any other, you are greeted with a smile from the moment you enter. Rachel and her staff pride themselves on giving every class all they have, teaching them basics along with new age moves and always and believing that dance is for everyone. When the students enter class they are ready to face anything and overcome any fears because it is an extremely comfortable setting along with the confidence we instill in them. Our students and staff are dedicated to the success of RFAPA and look forward to a great dance season!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, being successful means that I stand out from the rest. A lot of businesses in my area are selling the same thing: dance lessons. I try to go over and above by treating my students and their families in a way that makes them feel comfortable knowing they are in a safe environment and learning dance in a recreational yet professional atmosphere.
