Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Soares.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
From a young age, I watched my dad and mom work at our home and I was always inspired by the “love” my parents put into their work. I didn’t know then that would fuel a passion for carpentry. Working in the banking industry for nearly one decade I quickly realized I wasn’t happy and wanted something more in life. After much discussion and deliberation with my wife, we decided to go into business for ourselves.
With many nights of studying for different licenses and certificates, it was a go. My wife even after 6 years of working full time for her employer decided to help our business grow by coming on to the team full time to help run the office. It has been such a joy working with our clients knowing that they’re putting the “love” into their home like my parents did and we’re able to help their vision come to life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In some instances a product can be back ordered or out of stock causing a project to potentially sway away from its course but working closely with vendors to ensure timelines are being met can be challenging.
No two obstacles are alike but understanding what the client(s) want helps us accomplish the end result.

Pete’s Construction LLC is a Merrimack Valley-based business specializing in Residential & Commercial renovations, Project Management, Design and Frame to Finish Carpentry.
We pride ourselves on self-performing all of our work, giving us a clear advantage in many aspects. It keeps us in touch with the projects that we are building, creating a more efficient project management process This provides a higher quality of workmanship, and ultimately a greater level of safety, all while reducing our clients’ costs.
