Meet Patrick Boyaggi of RateGravity in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Boyaggi.

Patrick, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m the former mortgage banker that didn’t get my mortgage from my own bank. So I started my own company. Prior to RateGravity, I ran the Residential Lending Division for a bank in Boston where I was responsible for $11 Billion worth of home loans in just 5 years. Yet, despite being responsible for more than 30,000 transactions, when it came time for me to get a home loan, I didn’t go to my own bank.

Instead, I used my insider knowledge of the mortgage industry to find the optimal lender for my particular scenario and negotiated preferential terms so that over the life of my loan I will save over $40,000. It was this experience that leads me to start RateGravity so that all consumers can finance their home like I did – securing preferential terms in a stress-free manner.

At RateGravity, we provide consumers the certainty that they will be approved for a home loan and they save tens of thousands of dollars when doing so.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The path is never easy, especially because we’re taking on a $2 trillion industry. We’re a mission-driven organization that is changing the way consumers get their mortgages and we’re putting the consumer’s interest first. We have built a company that sides with the customer in every aspect: We allow consumers to shop for the best mortgage in an anonymous fashion, we partner with trustworthy lending institutions that are vested in their local communities, we are fully transparent about the offers from our lenders, we are the only mortgage company that fully discloses the fees we get paid by the lenders we work with and because we get paid the same fee by every lender, our only objective is to help our customers secure the best financial outcome.

RateGravity – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We help homebuyers secure the best mortgage from the optimal lender, using technology to save them thousands of dollars in a fully transparent manner.

We’re most proud of the fact that our customers trust us to help them with what is most likely the biggest financial transaction of their lives. You can see from the reviews on our website that our customers are enthusiasts and they serve as our biggest advocates. Our customer’s satisfaction is the source of great pride to our company.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I measure myself on the positive impact I can have on the lives of the people around me. In my personal life, it’s my family and friends, and at work it’s our employees and the customers we serve every day. We’ve built a culture at RateGravity that is focused on always doing right by the customer, no matter what. We put our customer’s interest ahead of all others and we make every decision through that lens.
