Meet Chef Patricia Pierre of Patty’s Cakes in Jamaica plain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Patricia Pierre.

Chef Patricia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am known as Ms. Patty, owner and head chef of Patty’s Cakes. I’m an upcoming baker trying to share sweetness all over Boston. I specialize is sweet treats, infused treats, custom cupcakes, custom cakes and more . I’ve been building up my sweet treat empire for about 3 years now and plan to leave my sweet mark on my home town, right here in Boston. My love for baking began while attending Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, where I took an interest in the culinary arts program. Continued building my love for the kitchen even beyond high school and majored in culinary arts at Massoit. Patty’s Cakes is not only my business, but it’s my brand and plan on building it up beyond the walls of my kitchen!!! Patty’s Cakes is a sweet tooth heaven.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road for Chef P. It’s been a few obstacles of knowing which direction to take when it come to marketing and promoting the business.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Patty’s Cakes – what should we know?
I specialize in sweet treats, infused treats, customized cakes and cupcakes, edible imaging, etc. What sets Patty’s Cakes apart from a lot of other vendors, is the consistency in the expectations being met and gone beyond. We aim to not only please the customer but provide them a PATTYS CAKES EXPERIENCE!!!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I owe a few people some credit for not only helping me build up my love for the kitchen but also have helped mentor me and help guide me thru my journey of becoming a business owner . Thank you to my mentor Francisca, owner and head chef of TIEKS Tasteful Cuisine, helped keep me focused and on task and providing the shoulder to cry on during the tough times and also offering a listening ear whenever I needed someone to talk to. Chef Curtis, my baking professor while attending Massasoit Commnity College, for pushing me to stick to it, when i felt like giving up. Big thank you to my family and friends for being my first bath of customers. Without them, I wouldn’t be this far.
