Meet Pamela Stoddard of Barbizon USA in Boston Financial District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Stoddard.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Pamela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I received my start in the modeling industry from the Miss Massachusetts USA Pageant System. There, I met the previous owner, Myron Wasserman and began my Barbizon journey. Mr. Wasserman and his team were kind enough to provide me with a scholarship to Barbizon and there my dream began. I graduated from the Barbizon program in the 90’s and started working right away traveling all over the world and working in all facets of the company. I have been extremely lucky to work with many talented, amazing people which made this experience that much more special to me. I felt guided and supported and being a part of Barbizon helped my career blossom in the acting/modeling industry. I have lifelong friendships that I have gained and have seen the world. When the owner decided to retire, the new owners welcomed me with open arms and I have been enjoying all the additional opportunities that have come my way too. I am a Barbizon girl forever.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The transition from one owner to another was a breeze. I was welcomed in like an extended family member and taught everything I know. The nice thing about the owners of Barbizon is that they are very easy to speak to and have an open door policy. Barbizon is a great place to work.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Barbizon USA – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Barbizon has spent over 75 years perfecting modeling and acting development and have the success record to show for it. I love that through all the years, we have stayed true to our roots in continuing to offer personal development and self-confidence to young men and women. People come to Barbizon for many different reasons, some for modeling and acting others because they want to feel more confident at school. Success is only what you put into it and our students find success in many different ways.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Barbizon is always evolving in our program and in the modeling and acting industry. We are looking to the future and looking forward to continuing to provide the best customer service and experience in our world-renowned program. Additionally, we have just expanded to China so we are MOVING ON UP AROUND THE GLOBE! WOW:):) Watch out world, Barbizon is here to stay!
