Meet Nadine Premo of Uniquely Your Decor in Metro West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadine Premo.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2004, after a successful corporate career, I had a vision to form my own interior decorating company, Uniquely Your Decor. With expertise in photography, art and design, I decided to marry those talents with the skills and experience I gleaned during my corporate career. Since launching the business, I have enjoyed helping homeowners and small business owners create comfortable, functional and stylish spaces.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have been fortunate to meet wonderful people who have not only become great clients but wonderful friends as well. The biggest challenge for me is managing the business while working in it. Some parts of the business are certainly more enjoyable than others, but all are needed components to success.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Uniquely Your Decor story. Tell us more about the business.
I love helping people make the most of their decorating budgets to achieve the goals they have for their space. Now, with over 14 years in the interior decorating industry, I specialize in room arranging, color theory, furniture, window treatments, art, lighting and accessories. From new construction, to remodeling, to decorating one room, I love helping people make their decorating dreams a reality.

I am very proud of the reputation I have as a problem solver, project manager and liaison between the trades and my clients. I believe in getting to know my clients really well so I can help them create beauty and function, even when they aren’t sure what they truly like and especially when they are afraid of making mistakes. Working collaboratively and effectively communicating are my keys to successful relationships.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
With the current push toward DIY and online shopping, I believe a certain segment of the market will always need and value working with designers who can help them focus and finish their projects. I like to remain focused on high-touch for my clients to take the worry off of their shoulders while ensuring their end results are beautiful!
