Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystn Cinelli.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Krystn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story begins at 7 years old when I began dancing at a local studio in my hometown of Amesbury, MA. (Shout out to Rap N Tap School of Dance!). I fell in love with performing and the rest is history! I was a part of their Competing Dance Company and went on to dance and teach through college. I was a part of the dance club, majored in the theater program and received my degree in Exercise Sports Science. I held my senior internship at a local reputable dance school and was eventually hired to teach and run the front desk. After I graduated, I went on to work as the Children’s Program Director of a large private health club in Dedham, Ma. Where I started a new dance program and ran the children’s classes, kids camps and did the hiring and training for the counselors and kids staff. Three years later I opened up Miss Krystn’s Dance Studio and the rest is history! We are proudly entering our 7th season in Wakefield!
Has it been a smooth road?
Being in a town I was not familiar with and had zero connections to, I was starting from scratch. I worked three other jobs just to pay the bills. I did all that I could to get the word out about our new school and each year we grow more and more!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Miss Krystn’s Dance Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I always say that being yourself is the most important. I try and reflect that to my students. The families we do have, love the small, intimate family feel we offer and I will always try and maintain that. That’s the type of school I grew up in and I wanted to offer that same feeling along with a quality dance education! I’m so proud to personally know each and every student and family.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Boston is full of diverse people from all over the world! How cool! I’m from a small town, so it can be overwhelming at times!
