Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Reinold.
Champion PT and Performance was founded by Dr. Mike Reinold and Lenny Macrina, two renowned physical therapists, strength coaches, and performance enhancement specialists who have worked with organizations such as The Boston Red Sox, Massachusetts General Hospital, and orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews’ American Sports Medicine Institute.
After years of helping professional athletes return from injury, enhance their performance, and excel at their sport, they were determined to create a similar environment for the general public. Disappointed with the traditional physical therapy clinic and fitness environments, they sought to recreate the integrated sports medicine model used to enhance performance by creating a hybrid model of physical therapy, biomechanical assessment, adult fitness, and performance enhancement training in an environment that is suitable for all ages and activity levels.
Champion PT and Performance is dedicated to help individuals reach their fullest potential through an integrated approach to elite level physical therapy, adult fitness, and performance training.
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes, fairly smooth. Opening any business from scratch is always a daunting task, but our reputations in the world of physical therapy, fitness, and strength and conditioning have helped our brand grow.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Champion PT and Performance story. Tell us more about the business.
Champion PT and Performance specializes in a unique blend of physical therapy, adult fitness, and sports performance training. By combining these models, we help people get the most out of themselves and optimize their movement and performance skills.
Our adult fitness clients appreciate our comprehensive approach and emphasis on strength training and movement quality.
Our physical therapy and sports performance models are well known internationally for our focus on baseball players. After working as the Head Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist of the Boston Red Sox, Mike Reinold and the team at Champion are well known for helping baseball players get back from injury and enhance their performance.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The fitness industry is huge right now, with options on almost every street corner. We feel our individualized approach, expert coaching, emphasis on strength training, and ability to optimize movement skills will continue to lead the trend in fitness as the more generic fitness programs fall out of favor.
