Meet Michelle Noska of Beaujolais Catering in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Noska.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I graduated Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in 1996 and started working for an alumnae halfway through school who had started a new catering company. Over the past 23 years, which I started out learning hors-d’oeuvres and entrees I now make my own desserts, create menus and do all the event planning. The event planning includes staffing, rentals, bar/bartending, site walkthroughs/layout of tables, preparing a timeline of the event so everything goes smoothly.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some struggles along the way would include finding enough talented kitchen help. Working long hours when I have no help. (And when I do.)

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Beaujolais Catering – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a full-service catering company that does not just make food but helps one plan their event. We are sure to guide the client but not push them into doing things a certain way.

What sets us apart is that our food is internationally inspired and always changing.

I’m very proud that we have made so many people happy providing excellent service and delicious food, especially when I get a thank you from the wedding couple that they were thrilled.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our vision is to take on more large events throughout the year. We recently joined the WeddingWire and are making good progress with them regarding the reviews. No big changes, I like to give our clients the best service by not taking on too many events in one day. The details need to be perfect so we can focus and tend to the clients’ every need.
