Meet Michelle Greenwood of FIORI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Greenwood.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I opened my FIORI location in 2015. The idea was to create a space where brides-to-be could explore their wedding vision. I was thrilled to see such positive reactions to my merchandising and store displays, it kept people coming back for more. My creative vision, merchandising/retail background and passion for curating unique style, fueled the evolution of FIORI from a wedding meeting-spot into a boutique gift shop. FIORI’s new space (only 5 minutes from the former location) still offers a unique, inspiring, feminine, and welcoming retail experience—but in a larger, sunnier space.

Has it been a smooth road?
Opening FIORI was not a smooth road! It’s very important to me to understand exactly what my customer is looking for. It’s equally important to stay true to my vision and aesthetic as an owner, and I continually find ways to keep the balance so we’re all happy!

I still struggle trying to explain what FIORI is. It’s come a long way since the original concept in 2015, but you can’t put us in a box… we’re not a flower shop or a traditional gift shop. It’s a unique, inspiring space that you must experience yourself to understand, I think my customers agree when they’re telling family and friends.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with FIORI – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
FIORI is a curated shopping experience. It offers an ever-changing assortment of gifts for any occasion: from plants, stationary, and home decor, to jewelry, beauty products, books, floral design, and often fresh, local blooms. It’s most rewarding to see our amazing, enthusiastic customers who continue to support the business and refer friends and family.

I believe that FIORI stands out among other retail stores because of the hand-selected merchandising. This process is rewarding, exciting, and it vibrates throughout the store. I often have people leave saying, “I want to live here!” It makes me smile and makes all of the hard work worthwhile.

We love Michelle and FIORI! Michelle’s items have decorated our home, taken center stage on our son’s Bar Mitzvah reception tables, provided gifts for friends and teachers… So happy to see FIORI thriving! Only the best for this business in the future!
