Fiddlers Rock is a unique music show that combines Classic Rock with Irish music and Fiddle Tunes that audiences find both entertaining and memorable. Each show highlights a unique fiddle player that shows a varied amount of talent and showmanship based on the venue
Fiddlers Rock is Acoustic Duo Consisting of Michael Hynes on Acoustic Guitar and 3 different fiddle players they are Dinah Mellin, Kimberly Barnes and Eliza Bowes. They play Boston, RI and Cape cod.
They can be found at The Black Rose in Boston once a month for happy Hours 4-7 Pm they have been playing there for nearly 6 years now. Other venues consist of McBrides in Providence, Cape Cod Irish Village in Yarmouth and The cottage bar in Weymouth to name a few. Their website is www.fiddlers-rock.com
Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles is getting new venues to give us a chance to play for them. We have a good following and we have been filling our schedule by word of mouth referrals.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Fiddlers Rock – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our set list consist of Irish music, fiddle tunes and classic rock with a fiddle twist. We are probably the only band on the circuit doing such a unique twist on set list. It is always a highlight to do a song like Wish you were here with a fiddle twist. Always a head turner.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Playing Boston is always a joy. The black rose is always full of tourists and folks on vacation. We like to show off our home town with songs like shipping up to Boston and Charlie on the MTA.
