Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Carucci.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started in real estate in the early 1980s when my landlord who was a real estate developer suggested I get my real estate license and work for him. My first few years in the real estate business was primarily on site development for particular projects. I got to where I am today by staying persistent and passionate about what I do.
Has it been a smooth road?
Real estate is a very competitive business it is not always been a smooth world. I had a very high profile controversy with a client in the early 1990s that was finally resolved but it was a long project protracted. I firmly believe that you are defined by how you handle adversity and not prosperity.

The Carucci Group specializes in luxury residential and niche commercial real estate in the Greater Boston Area. We are a division of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, which offers us a fantastic global platform and incredible opportunities. Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Boston is an ideal city to start out in the real estate business. There are so many new developments in Boston and real estate is expanding. There are also a lot of unique characteristics of Boston that will always draw people in – such as education and healthcare.
