Today we’d like to introduce you to Melysha Acharya.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Melysha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve worked in SEO for the past 10 years, in large retail corporations, consulting for cybersecurity, and global Fortune 500 companies.
I’ve always had friends asking me for help with their small business websites, in addition to strangers: Uber drivers, random folks I’d meet, would ask me how to optimize their websites for search. Most were small business owners, just trying to achieve basic optimization. Most of these owners were either just starting out, or had full-time jobs in addition to their side businesses. I noted that there was a huge gap between full-service SEO Agencies, and the need for Small Businesses to optimize their websites for basic search on a budget.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve been so lucky to have a smooth road. I joined the Boston Business Women’s group a few years ago, and so many small business owners are looking for the exact service I provide – basic Search Engine Optimization on a budget. I have also partnered with other small business owners, like Mavro Creative in Hingham, to offer basic SEO to their website design clients. Additionally, I still continue with corporate consulting – international and domestic – so I’ve been very fortunate to be able to balance both worlds.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Really Affordable SEO fills a gap between full-service Search Engine Optimization companies that provide social media, PPC Ads (AdWords, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads, Linked-In Ads) and the needs of small business owners who don’t necessarily need all the bells & whistles, but still want their customers to find them.
Basically, when a person puts their business online, they want to be sure their site is optimized correctly, but it can be daunting to figure it out themselves. Most of the small businesses I deal with are local. I ensure they have the basics covered: Google My Business pages, citations, technical analysis (site speed, 404 pages, etc), competitive analysis and keyword research.
I also offer an SEO Bootcamp for customers who want to learn a little more about SEO and possibly do it themselves. Interested parties can sign up on my website, https://www.really-affordable-seo.com/seo-bootcamp-signup/
I’m most proud of the results I can provide (usually a 20% lift in traffic) and the people I meet. There are so many small business owners in Boston, and it’s inspiring to meet them and learn all about their goals and dreams.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Boston is such a diverse city with so many areas for opportunities. Just the sheer amount of startups in various industries in the area speak to the business climate. I admire people who are willing to go for it on their own, and I think Boston is one of the best places in America to do it.
