Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghann Tassinari and Nicholas Peters Bond.
Meghann and Nicholas, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Kitchen to Aisle Catering & Events came about when Meghann and I worked events for the same company in Newburyport. Shortly after I realized that joining forces we could create a unique experience for clients ranging from cocktail parties in someone’s kitchen to helping a couple prepare for their big day walking down the aisle! -Nick
I have always dreamed about going out on my own and having my own wedding planning business but never thought it would happen before I was 30 years old! I met Nick two years ago working together and we instantly hit it off not only as coworkers but great friends. After hearing he was on FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen Season 14 and then asked again to go back to participate in Hell’s Kitchen All Stars I was so proud of him and thought to myself “wow this kid is legit!” He had been doing some small catering gigs on his own and had asked me to help him with a backyard wedding. That night the two of us thought why don’t we do this on our own? With Nick’s culinary experience and my love for events we thought we would make a dynamic duo! -Meghann
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The challenges of starting Kitchen to Aisle Catering & Events included staffing, the initial startup and getting those first events. It was challenging to get our name out there in such a competitive market. After I was on Hell’s Kitchen I knew I had to capitalize being a finalist on a national television show. We had to stand out and we did that through promoting Hell’s Kitchen All Stars and also having Meghann grow up in this area and knowing a lot of people and having some great connections. -Nick
Both Nick and I had never owned a business and didn’t really know where to start. We have had a lot of help on the business end of it from Nick’s husband Mike which I am very appreciative of. We both have a lot going on in our own personal lives which makes starting your own business that much more difficult. My fiancé Nate and have been planning our own dream wedding for this upcoming August and also in 4 of our best friend’s weddings in just 2018! Nick and his husband are fostering to adopt a baby and also just sold their home and are moving at the end of the month. Both Nick and I have dealt with many life stressors this past year in addition to starting our own business but both love the challenge are learning to take it one day at a time! -Meghann
