Today we’d like to introduce you to Meaghan Severson.
Meaghan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My partner Clyde and I founded Rev’d in the summer of 2014. Rev’d was born from the desire to take the athletic, urban feel of our movement and style of indoor cycling to the suburbs of Boston. Clyde, a former MLS soccer player, contributes his 12 year career to his off season love of spinning classes. I have been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 10 years, and have found that I make the greatest impact on the most amount of people in the spin studio. From this shared passion, Rev’d was born.
Rev’d is an athletic ride utilizing the rhythm of the music to drive our full body work out. 45 minutes of sweat, beats and energy allow for a cardio and weights driven workout unlike any other. We currently have a growing business with locations in Dedham, Foxboro at Patriot Place, and our newest studio in Burlington.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting any business is a struggle! We tend to revel in the struggle. We believe nothing worth anything should come easily. We have hit every bump in the road you can imagine, from financial worries, to a constantly changing competitive market. Our team is strong, and we see little to no turn over because of our internal culture. Our community is strong and never gives us on the movement. Our philosophy at Rev’d is to focus on the tasks at hand, one pedal stroke at a time. If you can focus one day at a time, eventually you can look up and see an incredible masterpiece, but then put your head back down and keep grinding. Don’t be fooled by the sleek branding and kick ass classes and instructors, things are still in start-up mode around here and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Complacency kills motivation.
Please tell us about Rev’d Indoor Cycling.

Ask any of our riders or team members, Rev’d is about the PEOPLE. Yes, the ride is body changing and the beats are insatiable, but the people who continue to ride, move and believe are what make us who we are. Deciding to do one thing, and do it the best was at the forefront of creating Rev’d. Since our inception, we have never strayed from striving to be the best spin studio. Period.
Everything is calculated and full of purpose from the architecture, to the music used in class, to the instructors we create for our team. Any studio you walk into is the full Rev’d experience.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would tell myself to not worry so much at the lowest of low moments. I would tell myself to expect to be rejected over and over again, and to keep pushing. But… we always kept it moving so I guess… I wouldn’t change a thing!
