Today we’d like to introduce you to Marlon Vila.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Marlon. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I was just a young boy, my family moved to Italy. First up in the Piemonte region than settled in Rome where we spent three years before moving to the states. While in Rome, I started as a helper/busboy in a little trattoria in heart of the city. When we moved to the states, I quickly realized that working in the restaurant business came to me quite natural so I followed the path to opening my own restaurant. With the help of my family we began work in August of 2011. My mother had been a chef her entire life so we followed her lead at the start, while I went to culinary school at Le Cordon Blue in Cambridge MA. Now after graduating culinary school, I run most of the operations with my family still being a vital part of the business
Has it been a smooth road?
The challenges and obstacles are a daily occurrence in our business. Nothing comes to mind as a job stopper.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Located at walking distance from Quincy Center our menu has something for everyone. We are the only business in the area that serves three meals a day every day except Monday. We work out of a scratch kitchen and our wine list is one of the most extensive you’ll find in the area
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The variety of palette makes this city ideal to start a business such as mine.
