Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Murphy.
Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Started with the owners of the first location in Rhode Island before they opened. For two years helped develop the brand and open the first 4 locations. Saw the potential of the business and became a franchisee opening the 5th location. There are now 12 locations opened and many more in planning stage. Our business in Watertown has grown by 20 % each year and we are embarking on a remodel of the store to add a major attraction.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
First year was very difficult as cancer took the life of my only brother a month before construction started. My wife and business partner was diagnosed with breast cancer one month after construction started. My wife is now doing great and so is the store.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the launch trampoline park Watertown story. Tell us more about the business.
We are an indoor trampoline park. We are a large park with many attractions. We have the only 20 foot indoor free fall into a stunt bag in the northeast. We are known for our great birthday parties.
