Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianna Pease.
Marianna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Oona’s was founded in 1972 and has been a well-loved vintage shop for many years. In the fall of 2016, I took over as the new owner and have been working to curate the best possible vintage. Right now the shop is full of one of a kind dresses for events and summer outfits in great fabrics and prints. We carry modern designs as well such as our newest addition: Artemis Design Co.’s stunning and colorful handmade carpet shoes. We will be showcasing some of our best vintage in a fashion show at Liberty Hotel May 11th at 10pm.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oona’s has evolved in many ways since the seventies. My aim is to keep the original vibe of the store alive while staying current.

Oona’s is known for fantastic vintage treasures. We curate the best vintage so you can walk in and find incredible one of a kind garments. We are proud to be a local woman owned business. We aim to be elegant and fun at the same time. This spring the New England Artist Jill Hoy has started painting a magnificent mural in the courtyard outside the shop.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We really love what we do and that kind of positive energy is everything.
