So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The 1st 10 years of my life, my family was in the military. My Dad was a great cleaning influence, although he did not have much time, whatever he was cleaning always came out so nice. I liked to help him. Then when I grew up I always kept my car very clean, then in college, I started detailing cars and was getting paid for it. I just enjoy seeing clean things.
In the early 80’s I was given the opportunity to clean a Daycare and it began from there. I started my own cleaning business, had partners, then in 1997 went out on my own. Lots of challenging work, dedication and it’s a dirty world out there helped me out a lot. There is always plenty to clean-whether it’s a commercial/medical building, home or industrial setting we can clean it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Lots of demanding work, in the early years not quite knowing how to clean something, but, lucky for me, help was always nearby. The local Worcester, Ma janitorial supply stores had most answers and helped me out tremendously. I’ve always taken a hands-on approach to managing Brand-Nu Janitorial Service and learned how to clean whatever was dirty. Our clients appreciate our accessibility, our promptness in responding to questions and solving problems, and our personal commitment to customer service. We answer our own phones which have helped us the most. Today people want to talk with a live person.

We complete our work as promised and follow through with our word. Our goal is to grow with our customers in Worcester, Ma and Worcester County. What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, I define success by living every day like you’re on holiday. Having fun and making the best of any given situation. Answering my own phone allows me to help a lot of people in need very quickly. Following thru on tasks given to me in my personal life and the companies I run helps me maximize my potential by helping other people in a meaningful way, while providing them work, so they can do what makes them happy. At the end of the day put your best foot forward and it will all work out.
