Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcos V. Novais-De Camargo.
Marcos, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My business model began while I was working at a hotel called the Crowne Plaza. I worked in many different areas of the hotel one of my roles was as a Guest Service Representative and my duties included interacting with clients in-order to meet and exceed their needs while staying with us. That gave me my abilities to be able to provide Concierge Service but lastly and most importantly was being their Shuttle Driver. I gained much experience while being tutored by some amazing and knowledgeable people in hotel industry. Those basic skills learned during my time in the hospitality field, are what make up a large sum of my company today. Now, my whole idea is to re-introduce Massachusetts to the Chauffeur industry in a new light, where I want to keep providing more for my clients. Therefore, I created a motto that will represent what my company’s name will stand for whenever someone speaks about it: “Getting our clients to their destination safe, comfortably and on time with a touch of hospitality.”
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, just like every other business that is starting out it has not been a smooth road, I was expecting it was going be tough, but that was not going to stop me. Some of the struggles I have been facing are mostly bureaucratic obstacles, finding reliable people to join my cause and financial backing. The way I see struggle it is nothing more than a motivation to keep going. When I came to the United States, I understood the struggles my mother had already faced to build a life for me and my brother. She is a big reason why I keep striding for success every day I go out to work. She has always taught me to never give up, even if every obstacle keeps getting more and more difficult. The more difficult it gets, the closer I am to making my dream into reality.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Camargo Chauffeur Service – what should we know?
As the motto of my company states, “Getting our clients to their destination safe, comfortably and on time with a touch of hospitality”, my goal is to provide my clients with a transport company that they can trust, even with their own family members, without any worries. I want to create a bond with my client where they can get to know who is driving them and it’s not just “some other person” driving them or their family members. The type of company I am creating is a company where you don’t need an app or a “leash” to know that your Chauffeur will be there waiting for you after a long day at work or that long flight. I would also like to add more hospitality benefits for my clients as they become a part of Camargo Chauffeur. These benefits they would not be able to get with another service or their regular point-to-point transports, like cabs or car sharing apps, they might try, but they will never deliver it like our service. I am here for the long-haul. Not only do I want to create a more efficient chauffeur service that is affordable while still luxurious but, in the future I will be turning my gaze towards other transports means as well.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
This a good question. The whole idea is to provide a quality service and rememberable experience for our clients and yes, it is as simple as that, but one of the hardest thing you can do. The only people that will be able to provide this this knowledge for our clientele are reliable chauffeurs that know their city in-and-out, who can provide information to their clients immediately. This creates a bond between Chauffeur and Client instead of just being another ride or pick-up. When a client joins with my company, I expect our team to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay while they are visiting Massachusetts. Whether it is for work, touring, visiting family or simply getting from point A to B, the goal is to provide the service that will keep our client coming back and speaking about Camargo Chauffeur Service for years to come.
