Today we’d like to introduce you to Manny Agbottah.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I founded Beyond Love N’ Care out of the desire to provide quality, compassionate care to people of all ages in the comfort of their own homes. About 17 years ago, while fulfilling my duties as a caregiver, I encountered a client who wasn’t pleased with the agency I worked for but continued to seek care. When I inquired why, he stated he loved the care I provided, going above and beyond to ensure his safety and comfort. This client always relayed me, “I wish you’d run this agency because I believe it would be more efficient and all the clients, like myself, would get the quality care we deserve. Promise me you will open one in the future and put all your great ideas to the benefits of people like myself”. At the time, I gave him my promise, uncertain that I would ever have the opportunity. Fast forward a few years, in 2004, I earned my bachelors of science in business. However; I was not fulfilled by working in that field and determined best to return to healthcare. I enrolled at MCPHS University and earned my bachelors in nursing. I worked in the industry and in several hospitals for a number of years then went on to continue my education and earned my master’s degree in nursing and became a board certified family nurse practitioner in 2013. I have found immense fulfilment in my career but as I continue helping people daily, that promise was always a goal of mine. Finally, I opened Beyond Love N Care so that we can provide holistic care and improve the quality of life for my clients.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Overall, it’s been a smooth process with a few bumps here and there. Like any new company, you learn from your mistakes and growing pains. Some of the struggles that we have come across are reaching for the right balance between how many caregivers to hire and client acquisition. As we grow, we want to maintain a stable staff to accommodate our growing clientele.

Beyond Love N Care home care services is a non-medical home care agency located in Medford, Massachusetts. The company was founded out of a desire to provide clients with quality, exceptional service for all ages in the comfort of their homes in order to promote and maintain independence. We aim to make a difference in the lives of clients by improving their quality of life. Our staff consist of an exceptional certified home care professionals who are fully screened, bonded, insured and backed by real-world experience, education and skills.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I, for one, don’t believe in luck. I believe in effort, determination and hard work. I believe in a higher power and blessings which are bestowed. Luck takes out the purpose in life, and I believe to live my life with a purpose, plan and order.
