Today we’d like to introduce you to Magued and Mariette Barsoum.
Magued and Mariette, please share your story with us.
We are owners of Divine Design Center. We are a boutique design showroom. We are unique in offering a 360 degree prospective for all-things interiors with European top design brands for kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, interior doors, glass partitions all under one roof at our 8000sf showroom staffed with the best interior designers. In addition we offer complete installation services with our on-staff installers and carpenters.
We started our business 15 years ago. Both owners are immigrants. Mariette comes from interior design background and Magued in an Engineer and business executive with a long career in the technology sector.
We have two kids 17 & 13 and currently live west of the city.
We love design. We love to travel. Boston has a unique style that combines modern design with touch of glamour. We travel the globe to curate our collection specifically for Boston, our home and city we love.
Has it been a smooth road?
As we say, there is never a dull day when you own a business. There is always the ups and downs, the challenges of running a business, getting the right staff, find the right partners. Like we say, never a dull moment.
That said, having worked in many startup companies and large fortune 500 companies, I would not trade it for the world.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Divine Design Center story. Tell us more about the business.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We’re very excited about the next 5-10 years. We see modern design taking a stronger hold in Boston. We’re also very bullish about the Boston market in general.
