Today we’d like to introduce you to Henry Pizzo.
Henry, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I first started in real estate I joined a boutique company. Unfortunately, the “boutique vision” changed somewhere down the line. As the company continued to grow, I realized how far away it had drifted from the original mission and vision when I started. This created an opportunity for me to start a true boutique company with a great group of seasoned REALTORS® and staff. LUX’s doors opened in September of 2014 and I haven’t looked back!
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes and no… with anything worth doing, there will always be a learning curve and some challenges.
One of the challenges we faced in our first six months of opening was the Winter of 2015! With a record snow fall of over ten feet, Sellers were not listing their homes because there was no place to put the snow and Buyers weren’t buying as they couldn’t actually see the houses! All markets fluctuate and we have been fortunate enough that the real estate market is still booming on the North Shore.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I am a North Shore native, raised in Beverly and Salem. Having grown up in these seaside towns, I developed a strong passion for the outdoors and boating. As a child, I was high energy and was always out with friends. I graduated St. John’s Prep in 1997 and went on to get my B.S. in Accounting at Bentley in 2001.
