Meet Laura Gamache Real Estate Group of Keller Williams Realty-Metropolitan in Southern New Hampshire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Gamache.

Laura, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I, sort of fell into this world eight years ago as my husband grew up in the real estate business and suggested for me to get my license with him. I was currently working and in college for my second degree. I knew I always wanted to own my business so figured if anything would be good experience not knowing a short time into it I’d switched into it full time leaving my first career path. I’ve made it a priority of providing top notch customer service to my clients and getting involved locally. Giving back to my community was not only a way of meeting new people and prospects but also a way of working towards making my home city a better more desirable place to be. With business increasing I took on hiring my assistant 2 years ago which was a great way to help leverage so I could be spend more time with my, at the time, 1-year old daughter. My hard work ethic came from my mother and father, as I would be working 6-7 days a week during the busy seasons. I always set my goals and would remind myself of them every day. In 2016, I was names Manchester’s Young Professional Award and in 2017 named Union Leader’s “40 Under 40.” 2017 was a goal achieving year for me as not only did we have our 2nd daughter, I hit my top sales for volume and units of 50 homes sold and over $13 Million in sales being the top 2% in my company of 400 agents. I still currently sit on 3 local boards one being the Chair of the Manchester’s Young Professional Network. Hard work is how I got to where I am today, and I take nothing for granted. Success is Simple, Not Easy.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were many struggles along the way. If anyone remembers the market in 2009/2010, the real estate market was at an all-time low and that’s when I first started in the business. It was common for one house to take 6+ months to even get an offer which meant taking 6-9months to get your pay check. Plus, you had to account for at least 1 out of every 3 deals would fall apart due to foreclosure or short sale.

Then as the market started to become healthier, agent population increased so your competition sky rocketed. So you face challenges of going up against not only agents that have been in the business much longer than me but also older as I was a in my late 20’s getting into the business and your average agent at the time was in their 40’s-50’s. I knew I had to be on my ‘A’ game every time I walked in for a listing appointment or meeting with new Buyer client. So, I continually was in educational classes, showing and viewing houses learning the market, staying up with technology and providing excellent customer service.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Gamache Real Estate Group of Keller Williams Realty-Metropolitan – what should we know?
Two years into the business I switched companies to where I am and was the first steps to help jump start my business. With being more “Agent-centric” and evolving entrepreneurs, I established, Gamache Real Estate Group. My focus is Residential property in Southern New Hampshire. I got my MA license in 2017 to assist my clients in Northern MA as well. Being a resident in Manchester, I have a great concentration in the Greater Manchester area and with growing up in Londonderry have a central hub of business in those surrounding towns as well. As living in NH my entire life, I have traveled and learned many areas so now I have clients that have brought me to the Seacoast and up to the Lakes Region as well. I am most proud of my quick response time to my clients, approach-ability & dedication. I feel what sets me apart being what I’m proud of but in addition that I am always striving to be better and knowledgeable in my markets.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My husband, Justin, deserves a lot of credit being my mentor in my business decisions, my cheerleader during the times I was ready to throw in the towel and always a positive advocator for me. Next would be my family, especially my parents, who help with the kids, so I am able to run my business and assist my clients the way I do. Lastly, would be all my clients that continually refer me business and are my walking & talking advocators!
