Meet Kristine Resendes of Social Drive in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristine Resendes.

The founders of Social Drive, Kristine and Aubrey, met in 2011 at a brand incubator start-up in Cambridge’s Technology Square. At this company both Aubrey and Kristine favored the marketing aspects of digital media. Both armed with creative and analytics skills, they eventually embarked on this joint adventure.

Social Drive, whose goal is to help local companies, both big and small, design agile, well-oiled online strategies, and they have done just that. Working with an array of industries, they have built a stacked portfolio of local New England businesses.

We’d love to hear more of the story – where did it all begin?
Boot-strapping all the way, Social Drive has been operating for about 5 years with a great core team! Our team’s backgrounds and interests are diverse. Some of us are technically inclined while others are content focused. We use each other’s strengths to build solid online foundations for our clients and this is where we intersect as a team.

Now in the summer of 2o17, we’re happy to note we are still growing and are proud to have almost all of our clients from day 1 still with us!

Has it been a smooth road? What have been some of the struggles you’ve faced?
Some of the struggles along the way:

– Saying “no” to prospective clients. We were eager to bring in money, build portfolio and may have sacrificed efficiency or proper business practices, such as time-tracking/project management software.

– Making time to focus on Social Drive’s needs own marketing. The “Cobbler’s son goes shoeless…” problem.

– Partnerships are wonderful, but can be difficult as well!
(You need communication, flexibility, and trust).

– Technical hurdles – how and why to use payroll systems, HR (vetting employees’ and their technical skills)

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Social Drive, LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
When we started – 2012

Who we are – Boutique online marketing and advertising agency

Who we service – B2B, B2C, B2G organizations of all industries

We are most proud of as a company of our team attitude. When one team member is struggling (or even off hiking in Peru!) we band together to keep things moving!

We are very close with our clients and believe their success reflects our success – many other companies aren’t like that these days.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Massachusetts is both our home state and we are lucky enough to work both in Boston. Boston is not only very diverse and educated, but very forward-thinking meaning it’s not uncommon to have mobile team members either. In fact, we encourage whatever environment suits your needs. That could mean a stay-at-home-mom or a world-traveler!

Too much winter 🙂
