Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Alexander.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hello! I’m Kristina, a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as well as an Aesthetic Nurse. I love being a nurse and working in an acute care hospital setting – which I will continue to pursue, but I found myself wanting to learn more and take my mind off of the stresses of the hospital. I soon developed a great interest in Aesthetic Nursing!
I started to expand my knowledge of skincare when I began experiencing regular break-outs and adult acne in my twenties. My sister, a Licensed Esthetician, helped me to explore this field of nursing. One thing led to another and along came Hello Beautiful Medical Spa! I am so grateful that I am able to do something that I love and help others in the process! Starting Hello Beautiful has been incredibly fun and rewarding, I look forward to every new face that I meet!
Has it been a smooth road?
Throughout every journey, there will always be obstacles. For me, starting a business at the age of 24 was a financial struggle. I didn’t know where to start and was quite overwhelmed in the beginning stages. With the support of my family and (now) husband, I was able to find my way and get started. Now I try to help other fellow RNs to start a similar business path because I remember how difficult it was for me to discover everything that was needed to begin the process!
I believe challenges are necessary – we need them to grow! The day-to-day challenges I face with Hello Beautiful involve my client’s needs and customizing my treatments for their specific characteristics. No two people are alike, therefore it is important that I take the time to examine my client’s facial expressions when they’re talking to me, noting the different ways their face moves while we have a conversation. It is important to me that I help my client’s look refreshed and more youthful vs an unnatural look. There is a fine line between completely transforming a face and accentuating the person’s natural beauty.

Hello, Beautiful Medical Spa is a very small business – I am the owner and the one who performs all the treatments! I have had opportunities to expand my business, but I love the tight-knit relationship I develop with my clients and truly appreciate that aspect of Hello Beautiful. I enjoy learning about the lives of my clients and having a good relationship with them! I always look forward to seeing my repeat clients and become excited to meet the new! I believe this is what sets me apart from others, I value my client’s expectations and happiness above all.
The treatments performed at Hello Beautiful include neurotoxin injections (Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin), Filler injections for lip augmentation and anti-aging purposes, Chemical Peels (my personal favorite), Lash Lift and Tint, Brow Tinting, and Hair Restoration with Platelet-Rich-Plasma. I enjoy performing chemical peels because it is always such a joy to see an individual’s skin transform and bring them back their confidence! As someone who suffered from adult acne, I can relate to my clients and it is so rewarding to help them along their skin journey!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Hello, Beautiful Medical Spa is located in Worcester MA. I appreciate that Worcester is central to everywhere in Massachusetts, as well as not being too far of a drive for those in RI and CT! I was raised in Worcester MA, so there is quite a bit that I love about this city because of all the memories I have here! The only negative component is the crazy traffic between 3:30-5:30, but that’s life!
