I have always loved party planning. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Event Management and my Master’s Degree in Business Management. I started doing candy buffets for family and friends in 2007 when candy buffets started to be a new thing for events. Everyone loved my candy buffets. My husband created a website for me so I could start my business. I love creating candy buffets since it’s always a wow factor at the event and guests of all ages enjoy candy and sweets!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes, it’s been a smooth road for me. It’s been a great business as a mom of two. I enjoy working with clients and creating custom candy tables for their event.
Kim’s Candy Buffet – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I create custom candy and dessert tables for all different types of events. My signature candy creations elicit excitement and wow’s wherever they turn up.
What sets me apart from other candy vendors is my level of service. I communicate well with my clients to give them exactly what they want. To ensure a smooth set-up and break-down, I contact the venue before the event and speak with the event manager to ensure everything runs smoothly. I also always have extra of everything to ensure there is always more than enough candy and treats!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Doing what you love! I have a passion for creating candy buffets!
