Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Perry.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kenneth . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Started my business in July 2002 in Jamaica Plain at Nuestra culinary Ventures. It a program that helps anyone who wants to start a food service business, in catering or specially food product to Market. Program is free, you just paid a kitchen rental free. Awesome program.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been pretty much a smooth Road for me. I’ve been in the food service business many year before I started my business. So I had lots of knowledge, the only struggle I really had was waiting on accounts receivables. Most businesses pay in 30 days that was a problem for me and most small business. You have so much going out and nothing coming in immediately. Thank God I am past that point now. I have a contract with School department and the YMCA. Weekly.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Perry’s Gourmet Catering story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a professional Catering Company, we specialize in southern Spanish in Caribbean cuisine. We are known for our delicious quality foods at a reason price. And always being a professional company with great customer service.. what sets us apart from other caterers, we treat each event as it was out first. We never get comfortable. And never take anything for granted.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Well as in anything you do it will be hurdles. Which most of the time is out of your control. For me I just pray and have faith. And do the best that I can and leave the rest too the high-power he gets me through each and every time.
