Chrisicos Interiors is a full-service interior design firm that handles projects throughout the Boston area and beyond. Led by principal Kathie, Chrisicos Interiors is involved with every aspect of interior design, from renovation and new construction to turn-key installation and relocation services.
Unlike many of her colleagues, Kathie is fortunate to have a street-level working design studio/home furnishings boutique hybrid located in the Back Bay. She has created a warm and inviting space where she meets with design clients as well as offers a product mix of new-to-Boston and storied luxury brands, along with her own “Custom by Chrisicos” line of upholstered goods and home accents.
Chrisicos Interiors is known for its custom design solutions – creating gracious and appropriate furnishings for new and existing construction. Her designs offer a new spin on modern interiors scaled for urban living. Known as a problem solver, she creates perfectly proportioned interiors with custom upholstery pieces, accent furniture, case goods, and accessories.
With attention to detail, clear and concise communication and a budget-respectful work ethic, Chrisicos Interiors has the expertise, experience, and resources to oversee design projects from concept to completion.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road is always filled with new experiences that are truly unknown. Focusing on quality and customer service makes a difference in responding to these new experiences.
As in any business, economic and political changes impact luxury businesses. Remaining aware and responsive to the market both from the supplier and the client impact of change smooths the road that you are referring to.
I was inspired to open my Park Plaza Studio in 2016 in response to the changes in the industry. Moving from an office to a street-level inviting Studio makes a difference in customer engagement.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I love Boston for many reasons. It is the perfect location for a luxury business that is customer focused. A few of my thoughts about Boston are dynamic, exciting, evolving, many neighborhoods, many professionals in various industries to collaborate and be inspired by. Cultural institutions and Educational institution impact on the youthful and cosmopolitan feeling and styles.
Yes, I would advise someone starting out to locate their business in this city.

- Home decor and furnishings in my Studio range from $24.00 for a scented candle to $4500.00 for a custom upholstered sofa to $45,000 or to a price that is reflective of a custom designed and executed furnishing.
