Jose and Israel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We both worked for Rent To Own furniture stores in Brockton, MA early in life. It’s where we grew up. It became our dream to someday open our own store. Israel has 23 years experience and I have 18 years in the furniture industry. The first store was opened in 2007 in Londonderry, NH after 10 years of continued growth we opened the second location in Methuen, MA north of Boston. In the short time, we have been open here in Methuen customers have repeatedly told us that we have the best prices and service.
Has it been a smooth road?
The first two years were almost impossible. We moved our family’s into one house there were 8 of us living there. We worked 6 days a week and no payroll at first. We were on a very strict and tight budget. In 2007 after the financial crisis we thought we were doomed, not only did we relocate our family’s we did it at the worst possible time in the country. We had to move our family’s every year for the first few years because our landlords kept getting foreclosed on. It was a very stressful time we ate a lot of ramen noodles.

Family Rentals Furniture is a furniture store that sells everything for your home. We carry a large variety of living room, bedroom, dining room, and mattresses. We also have a selection of electronics, appliances, and computers. Our customer is very important to us, we have the same staff for the last 10 years.
